Salicon Nano Technology Private Limited, a New Delhi-based provider of electronic test and measurement solutions, EMI/EMC compliance testing, calibration services, RF and microwave systems, and precision electronic equipment for defense, telecommunications, research, and industrial applications, provides in-house environmental and EMI pre-compliance testing facilities to support product development and production activities. The company operates facilities for mechanical and electronic design, manufacturing, integration, and testing through its Delhi NCR operations.

The company’s ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited EMI/EMC supports compliance, immunity, emission, and pre-compliance testing for products used in automotive, defence, medical, industrial, consumer electronics, IT, telecommunications, railway, power, and energy applications.

Among its testing capabilities is Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Immunity Testing in accordance with IEC 61000-4-2 and MIL-STD-461. The laboratory conducts direct and indirect discharge testing with contact discharge levels from ±2 kV up to ±30 kV and air discharge levels up to ±30 kV. Testing supports standards including IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 61000-6-1/2, CISPR 35, and MIL-STD-461G (CS118). Supported product categories include medical devices, automotive components, industrial and scientific equipment, IT and multimedia equipment, household appliances, and defence subsystems.

The laboratory also performs Ring Wave and Damped Oscillatory Wave Immunity Testing under IEC 61000-4-12 and IEC 61000-4-18. Ring wave testing supports levels from 0.5 kV to 6 kV, while damped oscillatory wave testing supports levels up to 2.5 kV at 100 kHz and 1 MHz. Additional standards covered include IEC 62052-11, IEC 60255-26, IEC 61000-6-5, BS EN 61000-4-12, BS EN 61000-4-18, IEEE C37.90.1, and IEEE C62.45. Applications include protection relays, switchgear, energy meters, industrial control equipment, power stations, substations, and railway systems.

Surge Immunity Testing is offered in accordance with IEC 61000-4-5. The facility simulates over-voltage transients caused by lightning strikes and power system switching events. Test capability includes 1.2/50 μs voltage waveforms and 8/20 μs current waveforms, with line-to-line testing up to ±2 kV and line-to-earth testing up to ±4 kV. Additional standards within scope include IEC 60601-1-2, IEC 61000-6-1, IEC 61000-6-2, IEC 61000-6-5, IEC 62040-2, IEC 60255-26, IEC 62052-11, IEC 61326-1, IEC 61800-3, IEC 62236-3-2, CISPR 35, IEEE C62.45, EN 50121-3-2+A1, ETSI 300 386, and TEC/SD/DD/EMC-221/05/OCT-16.

Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) and Burst Immunity Testing is available under IEC 61000-4-4. The laboratory supports voltage levels from ±250 V to ±4 kV with burst frequencies of 5 kHz and 100 kHz. The capability is intended for evaluating repetitive high-frequency transients caused by inductive load switching, relay contact bouncing, and commutator arcing. Testing covers medical equipment, automotive systems, industrial drives and controls, IT and multimedia equipment, railway equipment, telecom infrastructure, UPS systems, and power supplies.

The company’s broader EMI/EMC compliance testing scope covers standards including CISPR 25, ISO 11452-2/4, ISO 7637-2, ISO 16750-2, AIS 004, AIS 138, IEC 61851-21-2, IEC 60601-1-2, MIL-STD-461E/F/G, CISPR 32, CISPR 35, GR-1089, CISPR 11, IEC 61800-3, CISPR 15, EN 55015, and CISPR 14-1.

Testing is supported through conducted setups, shielded rooms, semi-anechoic chambers, and open area test sites, with frequency coverage from 9 kHz to 40 GHz. Immunity testing capabilities include ESD up to ±30 kV, EFT, surge testing up to ±6 kV, dips, harmonics, flicker, magnetic field testing, bulk current injection, and radiated susceptibility from 80 MHz to 6 GHz.

In addition to testing services, Salicon Nano Technology also provides anechoic chamber solutions designed to meet MIL-STD-461 requirements. The chambers support measurements from 30 MHz to 40 GHz and are available with ferrite and hybrid lining configurations. The systems are offered with modular designs that support future upgrades and site modifications.
