Category B includes lower-risk electrical products under Japan’s DENAN Act. These do not require third-party testing, but manufacturers must self-declare conformity and file a notification before sale. The "Category B" PSE mark is a circle, indicating that a product is a "non-specified electrical appliance or material" under the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act in Japan. Category B products generally do not require conformity testing by a Registered Conformity Assessment Body. Instead, manufacturers or importers verify compliance with the relevant standards through a product test report.
