SGS has introduced a new UKAS-accredited testing facility in Manchester, UK, expanding its hardlines and electrical and electronic (E&E) testing and certification capabilities. The new laboratory strengthens SGS’s compliance services for businesses seeking to meet UK and international regulatory requirements.
The Manchester facility supports consumer product manufacturers and retailers by providing testing and certification services aligned with UK and global standards. According to SGS, the expansion reflects its ongoing focus on delivering efficient, globally recognized compliance solutions.
Strategically located in Northwest England, the facility is designed to offer accelerated testing cycles to reduce time-to-market, improved regional access for clients, and direct integration with SGS’s global network of technical experts. The new laboratory is intended to support businesses operating in the UK as they navigate increasingly complex compliance requirements across competitive markets. The Manchester laboratory was established in November 2025.
