The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has moved forward with its plan to deauthorize testing laboratories with ties to China. In its latest action, the Commission followed up on Notices of Intent issued in September 2025 regarding its plan to withdraw FCC-accredited testing laboratory recognitions that the Commission says are “owned by, controlled by, or subject to the direction of a prohibited entity.”
According to the FCC, each of these testing laboratories operates under the supervision of China’s State-owned Assets Supervision and Administrative Commission (SASAC).
