The EDS MAX20 from 3Ctest is a Handheld ESD Simulator that generates electrostatic discharge test voltage of 0.2 kV to 20 kV. It complies with IEC 61000-4-2:2025 and other related standards and supports positive, negative & alternating polarities. This simulator has a voltage resolution of 100 V and a holding time of 5 to 10 seconds. This ESD simulator is designed as a discharge gun for ergonomic handling and has a 3.5-inch color touch screen for simplified control. This ESD simulator allows selection of multiple repetition frequencies ranging from a single shot to 20 Hz, with the ability to schedule up to four sequential test levels.  

The EDS MAX20 has a TDC counting function to track discharges, a built-in temperature and humidity meter for environmental recording, and an automatic self-inspection mode to verify operation before testing. It supports both air (round head) and contact (pointed head) discharge electrodes using interchangeable tips as per IEC standards. The device operates on a rechargeable 27 Wh Lithium battery and can operate for up to 18 hours. It measures 285 x 85 x 245 mm and is ideal for ESD testing in communications, telecom, medical, broadcast, railway, military, avionics, and energy applications.
