The AMP20119 from Exodus Advanced Communications is a solid-state EMC power amplifier that operates from 0.7 to 18 GHz. It operates in two bands: Band A, with a frequency range of 0.7–6.0 GHz delivering an output power of over 60 W, and Band B, covering 6.0–18.0 GHz delivering an output power of over 50 W. It delivers a gain of more than 48 dB in Band A and 47 dB in Band B, with a maximum power gain flatness of 6.0 dB p-p. This SSPA is based on a Class A/AB linear design, ensuring high efficiency, exceptional reliability, and rugged construction. It has spurious levels of less than –60 dBc and harmonics of –20 dBc. The amplifier also has a two-tone intermodulation distortion (IMD) of –30 dBc and an input return loss of less than –10 dB.
The AMP20119 integrates built-in protection circuits and provides extensive monitoring of critical parameters such as VSWR, voltage, and current, all accessible via a local LCD. It supports multiple interfaces, including RJ-45, TCP/IP, RS-422/485, USB, and GPIB for remote operation and control. The amplifier requires an AC supply of 100–240 V, consuming less than 1000 W power. It is available in a 4U rack-mount module that measures 483 x 178 x 560 mm and has N-type female connectors. This amplifier is ideal for EMI/RFI testing, laboratory use, continuous wave (CW), pulse applications, and all EW communication applications.
