The EM-6980 from EM Antennas is a Clamp-on Current Probe that covers a frequency range from 20 Hz to 50 kHz. It consists of two semicircles that clamp around conductors by means of a clip to measure the conducted current without a direct connection to the circuit under test. This probe has a core of ferrous materials separated by an air gap to prevent erroneous measurements due to saturation and is capable of measuring signals and noise superimposed on power currents up to 300 A from DC to 400 Hz. It can be connected to a conventional oscilloscope, voltmeter, or interference analyzer using a coaxial cable and has negligible intermodulation effects on the probe outputs. This current probe is calibrated for transfer conductance in a circuit having a 50 ohm resistive load. It has a probe factor of +64 dB at 20 Hz to +7 dB at 10 kHz to 0 dB at 50 kHz. This probe measures 73 (D) x 32 (T) mm and has a BNC output connector.
