The CBL 6143A from AMETEK CTS GmbH is an EMC Antenna that operates from 30 MHz to 3 GHz. It uses BiLog® technology with novel low frequency in combination with its X-Wing® folded elements, enabling low frequency power to be efficiently projected forward without significantly affecting the high frequency performance, and also reduces chamber coupling effects. This antenna delivers continuous CW power up to 300 W with a gain of up to 8 dB, generating field strengths of over 10 V/m for EMC immunity testing. It has a nominal impedance of 50 Ω and a VSWR of 2:1.
The CBL 6143A antenna’s innovative shape and geometry optimizes gain performance over conventional log periodic antennas and is ideal in measurement systems that use receiving instruments with high noise floors at high frequencies, saving preamplification which is not always desirable or practical when measuring high level signals or broadband impulsive noise. It provides exceptional E-field symmetry within ±1 dB (typically better than ±0.5 dB) without any rotational offsets. This antenna measures 1525 x 980 x 410 mm and has an N-type (female) connector.
