The EDTC-AX from Frankonia Germany EMC Solutions GmbH is an Anechoic EMC chamber designed for EMC testing at 9/150 kHz to 18 GHz. It is specifically engineered for use with two external dynamometers and fixed shielded shafts via a 90° gearbox, which minimizes metallic materials inside the chamber to ensure accurate measurements at a 1.0 m test distance. This anechoic chamber supports dynamic EMC testing of electrical powertrain units, offering capabilities such as braking, driving, direction control, speed regulation, and torque control, all within a shielded environment.  

The EDTC-AX can accommodate an external load machine, enabling flexible integration into powertrain test benches. It meets the requirements of CISPR 25 for radiated emission testing and ISO 11452 for radiated immunity testing procedures. This anechoic chamber’s design incorporates necessary interfaces such as a shielded shaft, optimized DUT positioning, grounding and test tables, ensuring reliable and repeatable EMC testing even in scenarios not fully covered by standard CISPR 25. It has a power range of 2x250 kW and a load capacity of 5,000 kg. This chamber has a footprint of 9080 x 6080 x 3750 mm.
