Diamond Microwave Chambers Introduces CISPR 25-Compliant Chamber for Automotive EMC Testing

Diamond Microwave Chambers (DMC) has introduced its DMC-CISPR 25 semi-anechoic chamber, designed to support CISPR 25:2016 and ISO 11452-2 testing of automotive components with maximum dimensions of up to one meter. The RF-shielded chamber provides a semi-anechoic test environment for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements and is constructed using DMC-PAN series self-standing shielding, ferrite tiles, and polypropylene-based hybrid absorbers on all walls and the ceiling, together with a reflective ground plane. The chamber is designed to meet CISPR-25 compliance requirements.

The DMC-CISPR 25 chamber has external dimensions of 5.5 m × 5.5 m × 3.5 m (L × W × H), a minimum load capacity of 1,500 kg with higher-capacity options available, and an operating frequency range from 30 MHz to 40 GHz.

According to DMC, the chamber supports full compliance emission testing in accordance with ANSI C63.4 and CISPR-16 standards. Performance specifications include normalized site attenuation (NSA) deviation better than ±3.5 dB from 30 MHz to 1 GHz and VSWR deviation better than ±5.5 dB from 1 GHz to 18 GHz.

For immunity testing, the chamber is specified as compliant with IEC/EN 61000-4-3 requirements. It also provides field uniformity deviation better than 6 dB at 75% of 16 measurement points across the frequency range from 26 MHz/80 MHz to 18 GHz.

The chamber is intended for accurate and repeatable automotive EMC testing and incorporates RF shielding, hybrid absorbers, and a semi-anechoic environment to support automotive compliance measurements. DMC states that the CISPR 25-compliant chamber is available with pricing starting from $125,000.
